The Gherkin dominates the skyline round here, visible right from our very front door, but there’s plenty more to see and do in the local Aldgate area.
We are situated right opposite the first synagogue ever built in London, while the square next to the pub is noted as the site of Jack The Ripper’s final crime, with tours available for fans of grizzly, gruesome history.
Plenty more of that can be found at the Tower of London, just a short walk away to the south of the pub.
